Karen Clauser has taught in the Religious Studies department at Brebeuf Jesuit for 28 years.  Her kindness, passion for spirituality, and philosophical mind make her a wonderful teacher and colleague.

Always interested in promoting Ignatian Spirituality, Karen completed Ignatian Leadership seminars, made a 30 day silent retreat, and worked for six years as the Adult Faith Formation Coordinator at Brebeuf. In this capacity she ran workshops, led small prayer groups, developed a Parent Kairos Retreat, and taught the Ignatian Themes Workshop for new faculty.  She served on the Jesuit School Network Board of Directors for six years.  She has accompanied numerous people through the 19th Annotation Retreat of the Spiritual Exercises and she created the Introduction to Philosophy course, which is still taught to seniors.  We will miss her warm friendship and, of course, her famous home-made zucchini bread.
