In 1978, Patti Brown joined the Brebeuf Jesuit Faculty and taught English for 25 years. She created the Freshmen English Honors program, and with two colleagues, brought the ACP program to the school. She was the Arrow advisor during those early years as well as class moderator all four years for the class of 1982. During that time, she also worked for six years in the Advancement Office, serving as Alumni Director where she formed the Alumni Board. In 2004, Patti moved to the main floor to teach in the Learning Center. She is now the Director of the program as well as the Department Chair. In addition to her work in the Learning Center, Patti has served on multiple Brebeuf committees, has lead Kairos five times, has been a presenter in two JSEA Colloquiums, and she continues to teach PSAT and SAT prep courses and the summer College Application Essay Seminar she created. Patti is retiring after 44 years of service to Brebeuf, 50 years total in teaching!
