Media Center

The Mission of the Brebeuf Jesuit Media Center is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information by:

  • Providing intellectual and physical access to materials in all formats.
  • Providing instruction to foster competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing, and using information and ideas.
  • Working with other educators to design learning strategies to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Brebeuf Jesuit Media Center resources include: books, cameras, magazines, databases, CDs, DVDs, Internet, newspapers, videos, scanners, color laser printer, camcorders, and other equipment.

The Brebeuf Jesuit Library Website is regularly updated with helpful information for general library usage as well as class research project guides and links.

Catalog (www.imcpl.org)

After you click the search box on the top of the page, type in your search term and hit enter. When your items come up, this is where you may search for items specifically at Brebeuf by using the drop-down box and choosing Brebeuf as your search location. All items at Brebeuf will appear first in the list.

Databases (www.ilibrary.org)

The Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library, Inspire and The Central Indiana Community Foundation offer databases providing online reference sources. These include full-text magazine and newspaper articles and much more.

These are accessible from anywhere in the school and at home if the student has his/her library card.

Be sure to have your library card handy for both the catalog and databases.
