What you need to know before beginning your application.

Early Admission

Early Admission is offered by Brebeuf Jesuit to current 8th grade students who score in the 80th percentile or higher on the High School Placement Test (HSPT).  Students interested in Early Admission should take the HSPT test in June, July or at Brebeuf Jesuit on October 14, 2017.  Students testing in October, who are interested in Early Admission, need to have all their admissions materials submitted by the October 1 deadline. Students who apply through our Early Admission program will receive their admission decision by the Thanksgiving holiday.

In addition to the HSPT, Brebeuf Jesuit requires the submission of transcripts, standardized test scores, parent and student essays, and teacher letters of recommendation.

Regular Admission

The deadline for regular admission to Brebeuf Jesuit is December 1.

The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is the standardized test used in the admission process by all of the Catholic high schools in Indianapolis.

Students must receive one of the following scores on the test in order to be considered for admission to Brebeuf Jesuit:

  • A composite score of 60 or above, or score of 100 or better on the CSQ section of the test.

Application Materials

Brebeuf Jesuit requires the submission of the following items as part of the application process.

Parent and Student Essays 

  • Brebeuf Jesuit requires that both the applicant and a parent submit an essay that is uploaded with the application for admission.

Materials submitted by sending schools:

Transcripts

  • Transcripts from an applicant’s 6th, 7th, and 8th grade years are required.

Standardized Testing

  • Submission of all standardized testing results is required.

Teacher Letters of Recommendations

  • Applicants will need to submit two letters of recommendation from 1) an English or Social Studies teacher and 2) a Math or Science Teacher.
