The mental health of the Brebeuf Jesuit community has always been of the utmost importance. At Brebeuf, we earnestly take the charge to care for our students in a holistic manner, focusing on their physical and mental well-being and ensuring students feel safe at all times.

This same mission to support our students and ensure their safety was the impetus for launching Anonymous Alerts, which has proven to be a great tool for Brebeuf Jesuit for addressing community concerns. That being said, we think it is important for this system to address the mental health needs of our students as well. With this in mind, Anonymous Alerts has been updated to Brebeuf Cares. With Brebeuf Cares, students are encouraged to use this form not only if they see something concerning, such as bullying or offensive misconduct, but also if they see or hear something more subtly troubling, like a friend who has become suddenly withdrawn, distant, depressed or has threatened to harm themselves.

Once an alert is received there will be an appropriate response based upon the concern, whether that is a follow-up about mental health with a member of the counseling team, or an investigation into the alleged misconduct by an administrator. Rest assured, all alerts, whether they are about egregious behavior or mental health concerns, will not go without intervention.

Brebeuf Cares is a safe place for students to demonstrate their care and consideration of themselves and the Brebeuf community.

Thank you for having the courage to report.  All submissions and information is anonymous unless indicated by the reporter, in which the information will be kept confidential.  For anonymous reports, an investigation will take place and appropriate action will be taken.  Because of the nature of anonymous reporting, you may not know what action was taken.
