Corey Pettigrew Named Assistant Principal
We are pleased to share the news that Corey Pettigrew has stepped into the position of Assistant Principal, effective August 1. The position opened this summer as former Assistant Principal, Reggie Simmons, departed Brebeuf Jesuit to pursue other opportunities.
Corey has already been a key part of our staff during the past two years as Director of Equity and Inclusion. In addition to his leadership experience at Brebeuf Jesuit, his previous classroom teaching years at Park Tudor School and in Washington Township Schools, he served as an academic department chair and led many student and staff programs. He also completed his Master’s degree in school leadership through Butler University’s Experiential Program in Preparing School Principals (EPPSP).
As Assistant Principal, Corey will serve in a key role for academic leadership, supporting faculty and students, guiding professional growth for faculty, and evaluating classroom instruction alongside our other Assistant Principal, Jen LaMaster.
In addition, Corey will specialize in the area of student support, on programming related to student mental health, and other school management areas. He will also continue to serve as a resource for students and families, and as a leader for how our school creates an equitable and inclusive community.
