Diversity Dialogue – February 23

The next diversity dialogue was inspired by the current political process that is playing out in front of us in its usual messy, intriguing fashion.  This dialogue is being co-led by members of the Young Republicans and Young Democrats, and the goal of the dialogue is to accomplish what has largely eluded the parties themselves: to engage in a dialogue about the parties in a quest for greater understanding.  Representatives from the two clubs will give their answers to questions formulated by the other club, and the exchanges will be the basis of further discussion later in the dialogue.  The clubs are driven by a desire to promote greater interest and engagement with the political process among their peers, and, perhaps, model a way forward from the often-stubborn insistence on being right that prohibits needed progress on the issues facing our nation.  World peace is not the goal of this dialogue; civil, but honest discourse is.

The Diversity Dialogue will be held next Tuesday, February 23 from 11:50 a.m. – 12:50 p.m. in the Auditorium.
