Information for the Pine Ridge Cultural Immersion Trip
Would you like to make a difference with people who experience the perpetuation of poverty and social injustice on a daily basis? Have you ever wondered what life is like on an Indian reservation?
Each summer, Brebeuf students are invited to experience a unique cultural immersion and mission trip to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in the southwest corner of South Dakota.
This summer’s cultural immersion experience (from July 3-17, 2016) encourages our students to fully embrace the Brebeuf Mission to foster a culture of understanding and dialogue with people of diverse religious, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds.
Please contact Sra. Beck, Spanish Instructor and trip moderator, at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information regarding the trip or for information regarding financial assistance.
The application for the opportunity to travel with to South Dakota, to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, home of the Oglala Lakota Sioux, is available from Sra. Beck in the World Languages Office.
This annual trip fills quickly, and applications will be due Tuesday, March 1.
