National Honor Society Application Process for 2020

To be considered a candidate for National Honor Society, a student must be a rising junior or senior, and have earned a cumulative grade point average of 4.0 or better by June 15 of the qualifying year. Class of 2021 GPA requirements will remain at a 3.75 per the requirements from their first qualifying year. 4.0 GPA requirement will begin with class of 2022. Candidates for National Honor Society who meet the minimum GPA requirement of a 4.0 and are in good standing with the Dean’s Office will be invited to apply.

Applications will be electronic and sent out via email at the conclusion of the sophomore year once final grades are posted.

The application will be scored equally in the following areas:

  • GPA
  • Essay 1
  • Essay 2

A committee comprised of a faculty council, appointed by the principal, will select candidates for membership. Applicants will be notified of acceptance/denial by email early in the fall of the qualifying year.
