Registration Open for Oxford Spring Seminar 2022
Registration is now open for the Oxford Spring Seminar at Pembroke College, the University of Oxford, which takes place from March 26 – April 3, 2022. This college immersion Spring Break trip gives students the opportunity to take a class taught by current and former Oxford instructors and graduates each morning and participate in afternoon and evening cultural activities. Course offerings are still being finalized, but prior years have included classes in medicine, law, political science, history, creative writing, business, and psychology.
Highlights of this trip include punting, trips to the famous Oxford Covered Market, a tour of a Norman castle, and a day trip to London which includes a show on the West End.
The cost for this program is $3800 + flights, which includes all programming, lodging, breakfasts, and dinners. Students are responsible for covering the cost of their lunches and spending money. We also require that students purchase medical trip insurance, which in the past has cost around $85.
Any sophomore or junior student who is fully vaccinated and in good standing with the Dean’s Office is eligible to participate in the Oxford Spring Seminar. All students will be asked to provide proof of vaccination and complete any required vaccination documentation per the UK entry requirements. All students will also be screened through the Dean’s Office for status of good standing.
In order to register, and secure your spot for Spring 2022, please complete the attached registration form and bring it, along with a check of $300 (which will be credited towards your total balance) made payable to Foundation for International Education to Kelly Shank in the College Counseling Office. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis and will close December 13, 2021.
We’re also excited to be able to offer a few scholarships for students who might otherwise be unable to attend. If the cost of this trip is a barrier to your student, please check the box on the registration for scholarship consideration and return the registration form to Ms. Shank. If you are seeking a scholarship, the $300 deposit is not required.
Please feel free to contact Ms. Shank directly at 317.524.7132 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
