Loves About Brebeuf
I think if I had to narrow it down I would have three main things I love about Brebeuf. The first one being the schedule. It was very confusing and slightly overwhelming at first, but once you have a grasp on it you really learn to love it. The independence we have here along with the breaks allow me to get what I need done, and I think really prepares us for what is next. I love that Brebeuf’s community encourages you to get to know your teachers as a person and I think that is something that doesn’t happen everywhere. You really develop a good student-teacher relationship and you know they want you to succeed. The third thing is the opportunities Brebeuf provides outside the classroom. Whether it is volunteering, service trips or exchange programs, Brebeuf offers a lot of ways to broaden your horizons, I think that is a valuable thing to have at such a young age.
I really enjoyed my AP Psychology with Mr Petty. The material was very interesting and Mr Petty’s class is always a fun time. This year I am really enjoying Ms ‘ Biotechnology class. It is very hands-on, and she is so knowledgeable and engaging.
I am not sure what university I will be attending, but I would like to continue playing softball in college if I can. Wherever I attend I will be pursuing a career as a Speech Pathologist or a Dietitian (RDN).

I have fourteen-year old twin brothers.
I was a gymnast for ten years.
I really enjoy cooking and baking and have been doing it since I was younger.
Can we get an early scouting report on the softball team this year?
We are already working to prepare for our season. I definitely think we are continuing to improve as we have been the last couple years. I am really excited for our season to show that improvement. You should definitely come out to see a Brebeuf softball game in the spring.
What is your current favorite show or series on tv, Netflix, etc?
I love the shows Criminal Minds and Parks and Recreation, they are very different genres but both fantastic shows.
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go and why?
I definitely want to visit Rio. I think it would be very exciting to see scenery in Rio from downtown Rio, Mountains, and the beaches. I also want to visit Christ the Redeemer and the Museum of Tomorrow.
You are now in your final semester at Brebeuf Jesuit. Has it sunk in yet?
I think sometimes you forget because you get wrapped up in the homework and school activities of your school routine, so not completely. Yet when I have those conversations with friends about our futures it seems surreal and you realize how close Graduation is. Even though it’s a little weird to think about no longer being a Brebeuf student, I am very excited about the future and being a college student.
In what way have you changed the most since your freshman year?
I am definitely a lot more outgoing. I was a very quiet, shy freshman and I’m sure no one would describe me as shy now. Being able to drive is one of the best changes! I definitely think I have better communication skills now. I was not very comfortable talking to people or expressing myself as a freshman. Now, I can confidently say I feel comfortable conversing with pretty much anyone. I think this change contributed to another skill that has vastly improved – leadership. I think it comes from being “older kids in school,” but I also think it developed by the many experiences I’ve had throughout high school.
