Student Spotlight – Julian Boes ’18
Loves About Brebeuf
There are so many things I love about Brebeuf. First of all, the teachers are incredible. Each one offers their own unique perspective and love for their subject. I always feel welcome and empowered in every class. Secondly, I think Brebeuf offers so many opportunities to its students. Retreats, guest speakers, and other opportunities enrich more than just the academic side of students. To use a “Brebeuf-ism,” they have certainly helped me grow as a whole person. Finally, the people at Brebeuf are just amazing. The amazing students create such a welcoming and vibrant community.
I have had so many great classes over my four years at Brebeuf, but a handful stick out to me. Finite with Mrs. Manton sophomore year and AP European History with Mr. Lo last year were two of my favorites. This year, I am really enjoying AP Statistics with Mr. Graham.
My future plans are definitely still very much up in the air! I am looking at IU, Purdue, and Loyola of Chicago for college, and I’m really torn about deciding right now. At this very moment, I’m planning on majoring in Statistics, but could change at any time.

Have big plans for Fall Break?
Nothing too major. My family and I are going down to Nashville, Tennessee for a couple days. Hoping for a nice relaxing time!
What advice would you offer our Braves in the Class of 2021?
They should take advantage of all that Brebeuf has to offer. There are so many great opportunities at Brebeuf. Our sports teams (although I’ve never been on one) seem like great communities, and the numerous clubs and other activities can help you develop new interests. But more than that, the people at Brebeuf, students and teachers, are incredible people, and you should get to know as many of them as you can!
