Loves About Brebeuf

I love that Brebeuf is so dedicated to teaching and nurturing the whole person. I appreciate that we’re given opportunities like retreats to recenter and learn more about ourselves. Although Brebeuf is a rigorous learning environment, we aren’t just viewed as students. At Brebeuf, there is a genuine concern for us as people as well. Teachers and staff members are committed to not only guiding us academically, but socially and spiritually as well. I love that no matter who you are, what you believe, or where you come from, it’s clear that there is a place for you at Brebeuf.

Future Plans

I am planning on staying somewhere in the midwest for college. As of now, I am going to study biology or neuroscience. Hopefully I’ll get into medical school after that. My dream job is definitely to be an E.R. doctor.

Where would you travel if time and money weren’t an issue?

Hawaii. It seems beautiful, and I’ve always wanted to go. My parents are actually planning a trip for next next fall or spring…without me.

What is your current favorite show or series on TV, Netflix, etc?

Recently, I’ve been binging The Good Place, but that’s mostly because I’m waiting for the new seasons of Grey’s Anatomy and Stranger Things.

What is your silliest or most irrational fear?

I’m aware my car probably cannot actually do this, but I am terrified that I’ll forget to put it in park and it will somehow be rolling around the parking lot on its own crashing into things.

What is something you have learned in the last week?

In my medical and scientific terminology class, I learned the terms for a few areas of the abdomen. Specifically, I learned about the epigastrium and the hypochondrium. Is that a weird thing to be excited about?  Maybe, just a little bit.

What are some small things that make your day better?

Walking around to the various offices searching for candy. Seeing Chief randomly strut throughout the school. A nice rainy day every once in a while.

Any big Fall Break plans?

My parents and I are visiting Emory University and the University of Chicago.

Would you rather 30 butterflies instantly appear from nowhere every time you sneeze or one very angry squirrel appear from nowhere every time you cough?

Definitely butterflies. Allergy season would be so much prettier.
