What is Brebeuf Bistro?

Brebeuf Bistro is the school’s largest fundraiser. Each year we gather together as a community to celebrate our wonderful community and support our school.  The event offers a great opportunity to meet and mingle with past and present Brebeuf Jesuit families, alumnae as well as the greater Brebeuf community.

The theme this year is Brebeuf Rocks. The event is being held at The Biltwell, featured in the Indy Star as one of the 12 hottest new venues in Indianapolis. The evening will include a signature cocktail, drinks and manned food stations, a VIP Reception sponsored by Petite G Jewelers, and silent and live auctions! Last year’s event was enjoyed by over 450 members of the Brebeuf Jesuit community.

Why should I go to Brebeuf Bistro?

Brebeuf brings families and students from many different sending schools together. Bistro is an opportunity to enjoy old friends, meet new ones and support our fantastic school by the purchase of your ticket alone or participating in our silent and live auction.

This year we are excited to be featuring Yacht Rock Revue™, the Greatest Show on Surf and the finest tribute to ‘70s light rock to ever perform anywhere. Ever. Yacht Rock Revue™ historically sells out every time they play the Vogue and most recently performed locally at the Indiana State Fair.

Are there assigned tables?

No, there will be delicious, fun, casual food stations available all night. Cocktail tables and dinner tables will be set up throughout The Biltwell.

Am I expected to bid on something?

No, you are only expected to enjoy yourself! However, keep in mind that there will be silent auction items you can bid on for as little as $20. You can also support Bistro – Brebeuf Rocks in a number of other ways:

How does the live auction work?

Each year we have exciting live auction items for you to bid on either alone or as part of a group of friends. In years past, the live auction has included vacations, sports packages and even a puppy! You will receiving bidding instructions during the event. 

What is Fund-An-Item?

Fund-an-Item is a project that meets a current need of the school. In the past, projects funded through Fund-an-Item include bleachers in the West Gym, the Bravewalk and Science Wing renovations. We are excited to announce the 2017-2018 Fund-an-Item will be a Gym Lobby Renovation.

What is the dress code?

To get everyone in the mood for our featured band, we are making this year’s event a bit more casual and encouraging everyone to come it their best Yacht Club Casual.

How long does the evening last?

This year’s event will run from 6:30-10:30 p.m. with the silent auction closing around 9:00 p.m. To honor our event sponsors this year, we will be hosting a special VIP Reception from 5:45-6:30 p.m.  For more information on being a part of this special event, click here.

Can I preview some of the auction items before the event? Can I place bids on them beforehand?

Once the list of auction items is available for viewing, Brebeuf will send out an announcement. Online bidding is expected to begin a week prior to the event.  Several communications will be sent directly to the primary email address on file with Brebeuf and information can be found in our weekly InDepth newsletter. As the event nears, you will be assigned a bidder number through our auction provider, qTego, which will allow you to utilize your phone for bidding and tracking your bids. A credit card is required, but you will have the option to pay by check at the end of the night, if that is your preference.
